O'Brien & Ryan, LLP performed a mock trial for Doylestown Hospital on Thursday, June 19, 2008. The purpose of the program is to educate medical professionals on the legal process. The fact pattern is based on a real case. Attendees get to see the direct and cross examination of a plaintiff, defendant doctor, and experts for the plaintiff and for the defense. Upon completion of all of the testimony, the attendees render a verdict based on the evidence presented. Following the mock trial, there is a question and answer period in which attendees can inquire about the trial or any other aspect of a medical malpractice case.
