O'Brien & Ryan, LLP Performs Mock Trial for Drexel University College of Medicine

O'Brien & Ryan, LLP performed a mock trial for Drexel University College of Medicine on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. It was the fourth time that O'Brien & Ryan attorneys have presented a mock trial program for DUCOM. The purpose of the program is to educate medical students on the legal process.

The fact pattern is based on a real case. The students get to see the direct and cross examination of a plaintiff, defendant doctor, an expert for the plaintiff and an expert for the defense. Upon completion of all of the testimony, the students render a verdict based on the evidence presented. Following the mock trial, there is a question and answer period in which students can inquire about the trial or any other aspect of a medical malpractice case.
